C & NW RR Reunion

July 8, 2010

Chadron, NE

The Chadron Federal Credit Union is happy to sponsor a reunion for all UP Railroad and former C & NW employees and their families here in Chadron on Thursday, July 8th.  Mary Ann thought it would be nice to get all the "rails" together so they can reunite with friends to reminisce about "the good ol' days."  This year marks the 50th year of the Chadron Federal Credit Union, which started as the C & NW Employees Federal Credit Union in October of 1960.  What better way to help celebrate our 50th anniversary and our heritage than to have a reunion for the people that helped us become who we are today.

We also invite everyone to stay for a weekend full of activities here in Chadron.  Chadron will be having it's 125th Centennial Celebration and Fur Trade Days.

C & NW Reunion Activities:

Thursday, July 8th

bullet10:00 - We will open up the Assumption Arena.  Several people will have displays set up with old memorabilia to show.  If you or someone you know would like to set up a display, please contact Mary Ann (call toll free 1-877-220-3257 or email chadronfcu@chadronfcu.com).
bullet2:00 - Charlotte M. Endorf will give her presentation on the Orphan Trains with her skit called "Fragile Excess Baggage".  This presentation is made possible by the Nebraska Humanities Council, the Chadron Federal Credit Union, and the Quasquicentennial Committee as part of the NHC Speakers Bureau.
bullet6:00 - We will have a dinner buffet at the Assumption Arena.  The dinner will cost $10/person.  Reservations Required.
bulletWe are working on more activities for the day.  We will post them here as they become available.  If you have ideas, please let us know.
