Here are some important tips to avoid being caught in these scams.

bulletDO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR ACCOUNT OR PIN NUMBERS.  All of these email and phone scams are people trying to get your account number, social security number, PIN number, etc.  Once they have that information, the can start using your account to do with as they please.
bulletUSE COMMON SENSE.  If it's too good to be true, then it probably is.
bulletONLY USE SECURE WEBSITES WHEN MAKING ONLINE PURCHASES.  There will be a little yellow pad-lock that is in the locked position in the lower right-hand corner for secure websites.  The secure website address will start with https:// instead of http://
bulletCHECK ON YOUR ACCOUNT AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN.

Important!  The Chadron Federal Credit Union is not responsible for any funds that are lost due to any scam or fraudulent check.
